When you sit down to write a song, you need to be inspired to write something that you’re feeling.
But here’s the thing: sometimes you really want to write a song… but you’re just not feeling inspired.
One easy way to get inspired is to listen to songs other people have written. And those songs don’t even have to be the same style of music that you play.
If you find a melody or a chord progression in a pop song that you think might sound cool as a rock or metal song, give it a try and see what happens!

Hi Steve,
Love your video's. I wish I had more time to practice so I can put your advice to work. Hopefully that'll happen soon.
