I am a friend of Darryl Gentry and I just finished reading “Let The Good Times Roll”. I could not wait to write this review. I was so taken back with things that happened in this era that I had forgotten. I was a teen in this era and I will tell you it was the most exciting times of my life. Every day was a new awakening and Darryl has brought that back to me. He brought new insights to this time and will excite anyone who lived in this time. I highly recommend this book just for the information that you will pick that you did not know.

Enjoying this book very much. I read awhile, then find myself anxious to jump on YouTube to hear some of the songs — especially the ones I might not remember. BUT — this author needs a serious editor and proofreader. He could also use someone to double-check his “assumptions,” as I think I see some errors. Nevertheless, I am thoroughly enjoying it, and he obviously has gathered a huge load of data to share with his readers.
