These guys were amazing. I think what may have kept them from breaking
through though was that while they wrote some fantastic tunes, they didn’t
quite fit that Motown Mold. I think Motown was going for a much more
commercial sound, while Staunton and Walker liked to try more complex
structures sometimes. Whatever the deal, I’d have released every one of
their records!
AWESOME!! Tommy Good and the Staunton/Walker/Jones crew is something to
talk about. This song is so cool!
