  1. I’m a white woman but I don’t have enough words to describe the influence
    of neo soul in my life. I have been a poet for years but only through neo
    soul music I discovered spoken word and it’s inspiring me to HOPEFULLY
    record a spoken word album one day of my poetry. I don’t care if it would
    sell or not, it’s just what my heart is telling me. Plus I feel that the
    values of Neo Soul movement are my values as well. I don’t really care that
    much about mainstream R&B and Beyoncé, neo soul is my thing so I’m a huge
    fan of Solange Knowles instead (and of course the real greats like
    ERYKAH!). It feels almost like my lifestyle but to record some spoken word
    would be cool ;).?

  5. I love this playlist, but I’m trying to write a dissertation right now. In
    the process, I’ve figured out that I love Neosoul because of the lush music
    coupled with loaded lyrics. The problem is that I keep trying to SING
    ALONG. “AWWW, wait a minute, queen, what’s your name??!!” That’s my jam!
    LOL Okay? “What good do your words do?” That’s my motto when writing
    this. Okay, sorry back to the smooth jazz. ?

    recording artist. She inspires me to paint, and create love and
