  1. I would pick Lou Reed as my favorite. He had such memorable topics, or the way he wrote and performed them stick like glue, "Heroin", "Rock & Roll", "Walk on the Wild Side", the whole "New York" album. He nailed what he wrote about. Micheal Stipe's is a nice wordsmith but more like a eh murmur.

  2. 1) REM is one of my 10 greatest bands of ALL TIME. That said, Mr Stipe's speaking voice is as hard to understand as some of his singing is "notorious" for… (And if you haven't seen his "coming out" video/announcement it's the BEST that anyone has put out. I won't do a spoiler, but go look it up…)

  3. Thanks for posting the Interview with Michael.
Charlie Rose has a great show and guests.

I was lucky to have known Michael back in the 75-76 time frame when he "found" Patti Smith. When he played for me her record , I thought she was interesting but I didn't get it. She and Michael (R.E.M.) are now in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I guess someone got it.

As far as the audio quality of the video clip, I couldn't tell if the eq needed more highs or that was just Michael, maybe both.
