Top 6 is not even up to debate. Dolly has a huge catalog, the biggest here and other women didnt just write great songs, their work is poetry. Do some research before staning and writing some bull comments. Check lists like this, do your research and listen some of them, enrich Your lives a little. ??

Ok so Beyoncé has written or co-written 12 number-one singles on The Hot 100, which puts her right behind Mariah Carey for female songwriters with the most number one hits on Hot 100s since it’s inception in 1958!! Beyoncé has written some of the most universally acclaimed singles that bring attention issues revolving sexuality, sensuality, abuse, infidelity, as well as misogyny. Her music speaks to the soul of a woman , no matter what your socioeconomic, political, or ethnic background is. She also covers topics of tragedy, racism, expression and finding happiness , love, and even heartbreak all while learning to achieve the goal of self-sufficiency. She wrote the anthems Survivor, Listen, Halo, I Was Here, Girls Run The World, XO, Formation, Freedom, and many more. She wrote personal hits that resonates with people and she’s one of the best female songwriters ever!! Not doing a sales video is ok, but to not even acknowledge her success as a songwriter is just ridiculous!! Not to mention Mariah Carey should be a lot higher on this list!! I don’t see how Adele is included, when the majority of her hits are written by others, which is ok , because her voice is phenomenal!! I love all the folk girls of the 70s and Dolly Parton, but being indie alternative, and glorifying suggestive content does not make you necessarily the greatest. There is so many other female singers who are immaculate songwriters that didn’t make this list!!
