These videos are meant to break down the songwriting process into easy to use tips, techniques, and tools that spark creativity and help you apply them like the pros. I do my best to make videos that share the ‘secrets’ of writing great songs without holding anything back.
My main focus with this channel is to pass on the tools of the trade that I have learned and found to make a big difference to my creative flow and songwriting. There is an old saying that goes “everybody has one great song in them”, I hope to show you that once you know what makes a song great, you can apply it to all the songs you write. Start from the heart, follow your gut, and revise with your mind.

So…….he had no control over his own bank account? What is the name of this woman so we can all stay clear of her?!
This is so helpful, thanks so much for all your videos! Always spot on!
Great video once again! I’m a bit confused, how can the chord progression go on for 7 bars but the time signature of the song be 4/4?
Love the videos! Thanks for all the info ??
Fantastic lesson! It's like going from using only primary colours to getting one of those jumbo Crayola boxes with fifty shades of everything. I recently started playing around with this on Hookpad and was so surprised at how different chord properties can change the emotion. It's almost like a brand new hidden chord. I mean it is…. but its not really. I'm not skilled enough on the guitar as to have all of the variations at the tip of my fingers.
