About mid-way through the interview, a very young “Martha My Dear” can be heard howling from another room. The interview was re-broadcast in 1988 on BBC Radio’s “The Beeb’s Lost Beatles Tapes,” and that’s when “Hey Jude” was edited in. (You can tell the interview was taped in ’66 because Paul mentions that Martha is 7 weeks old. He got Martha right after he moved into his home on Cavendish Avenue in the summer of ’66.)
\n
source<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
A nice little interview of John Lennon and Paul McCartney for a 1966 BBC Radio show, recorded at Paul’s newly-purchased townhome on Cavendish Avenue.
