  1. this is great advice! this doesnt apply to music alone, i feel like you can apply the same principles to writing, poetry, painting, any artistic medium!

  2. -Listen to music like a songwriter. Listen to music my idol made watch all there interviews and try to write a song like they were writing a song. STORYTELLING with lyrics. Olivia loves Taylor, Lorde, & Phobe Bridegers.
-FINSIHED IS BETTER THEN PERFECT. Finsih the verse and chrous. Don’t quick the second you think it’s not good don’t just throw it away. Don’t wait for inspiration.
-Show up for creativity. Don’t wait for something to inspire you. Show up show the universe you are capable to make this idea come to life. MANIFEST IT. Write a song everyday. SHOW UP it doesn’t matter if your talented.
-Write songs for yourself. Don’t write a song for other ppls attention. Write it for YOURSELF TRUE TO YOU. Do it because you love it.
-Read poetry. As much as you can. Have to start a song with a lyrical concept. Concept or poem you can go from. For example when she’s with you do you get deja vu?

  3. I felt like she was actually talking to me like individually. Like I was in the room asking her what her tips are to help me become a better song writer! This helped so much, she is so amazing!

  4. 1. Listen to a song like a songwriter.
    2. Finished is sometimes better than perfect.
    3. Show up for your creativity.
    4. Write songs for yourself.
    5. Read poetry! AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!!

She explained really great, please watch the entire video.

  5. Gosh number 2 was the tip I needed ? Whenever I try to write a song I always end up scrapping it or abandoning it bcoz it sounds terrible to me. And never get to finish atleast one song. Thanks Oliviaaa

  6. Hahahah ok, so their best tip is to just steal everything from another artist and pay a few million dollar fine or let the label pay a 50 year old swedish guy to write the songs for you. LOL

  7. She is a uniquely talented young artist. I expect she will have a long singing career, as long as she doesn't start sounding like everyone else.
