Vocal Melody Hack – Songwriting Exercises // How To IMPROVE YOUR Songs

in this video I’m going over a few songwriting exercises that might help you improve in some areas. Thinking you’re going to be great and stay great without putting in the time behind your craft isn’t going to turn you into a superstar.

  1. Tip #1: free write everyday (set a timer for however long… preferably 10-15 mins)
Tip #2: 3 takes! (Drag a beat into your DAW and see how many different Melodie’s you can come up with in 3 different takes)
Tip #3: write down synonyms for words you use too often.

  2. I call my word bubbles “mind maps” and I love what you did with this. Mind maps are good tools for intuitive people. I use them to plan my days and projects. Different lines branch off into more stuff. I get into colors and hues. Ideals and all. You’re a genius! Love this.

  3. Hi recently i got garage band for mac for free and i was wondering if you can make a video how to record yourself or make beats on it. Cause i would be seeing fl studio tutorials and logic pro videos and there not one for garageband so i just needed help thank you. I also love your melody hacks they help a lot ?
