  1. I have written two books and I'm working on more and my writing style is panster. I just write to see where it goes. I have an idea and write towards it without plotting a thing. That is hard to transition that style into songwriting. I can only get so far before I trip up over myself. Indeed looking a head and behind while putting it together is much more efficient when it comes to songwriting. Thanks, Cole!

  2. Thank you for number 2 I actually remember Sticky Fingaz saying he doesn’t write to the beat because it’s too distracting and there actually is some truth to that sometimes engineers I’ve worked with will sometimes add drops in the track as well for emphasis etc

  3. Hey cole! I'm having a physiological problem with rapping. I can write 24 bar average verses on the paper but I can't complete my song. I have the inspiration But I lag the next rhytm cause without it my rap songs sound respective 48 bars nothing elese.

  4. You brought up some great points I had to learn on my own because I been writing since 93 and now I can right to one beat but I can still use the same verse on any beat it's all about how you say your words rather it's faster or slower and another thing is some people can listen to instructions all day and they are still not gonna be an mc thank God I grew up in the golden era when rappers actually had skills now people just have a catchy hook but they are garbage smh

  5. I usually always start with the hook, but sometimes I do the verse first, and build a hook around what I was saying in the verse. With the punchlines I pick out what the punchline is going to be. After that I go back and find any things to relate to the punchline for example like

You think I'm talking heavy this is real lite (israelite) imagine a hebrew kicking it with you but he a judo/jew tho

  6. Nice video, but write lirycs isn't problem for me. Tell me how to improve my delivery QQ On beat I sounds like I'm reading from piece of paper. I'm so wooden, my voice is so square, I have feeling I'm speaking on beat instead of rapping.
I saw many films and guides, but still I don't know what to do.
I know I need moar, moar, moar practice, but still I don't know if I'm doing it right. When I sound like a rapper? Or although a bit similar. Is hard to mix when I have problem listem to myself.
