A little about me:
Sean Daniel is a man. A man of simple needs and desires. And the one desire, no, the one NEED, that stands above all is to spread the challenges, joy and intellectual stimulus of music to people of Earth and beyond.
Born on the mean streets of upper middle class suburban Chicago, Sean learned the ways of the world through the dizzying heights of success to the lonesome depths of failure and emerged with the promise of a better tomorrow reflecting in his eyes and fiery passion in his belly.
He plays and teaches guitar on his YouTube channel where he regularly releases original music and projects to the adulation of legions of fans, who often compare him to Chris Pratt and one time Ryan Reynolds. He’s currently in the market for a nice leather jacket.

I"m late to the party on this one but if I had to replace someone in Zeppelin I'd personally replace Robert Plant with Janis Joplin if I had to replace a member. Jonesy was a multi-instrumentalist so his value to the band was beyond just a bass player and a lot of their studio magic can be attributed to him. Plus imagine Janis singing in Led Zeppelin!
Can't stand you
The Bee Gees wrote a song about being trapped in a mine, waiting to be executed and they even wrote a song called Massachusetts, they had never been there.
Landslide by Fleetwood Mac would be a good one for you and your girlfriends to cover
It's always Elliott Smith week!
So I guess, "I was walking down the street and saw a squirrel" is out?
Damn.. that was from the keeper pile too.. 8' '-(
Great tips, your accent reminds me of the old Hollywood actors of the MGM era. ?
Paul McCartney?
All this Elliot Smith talk will bring Brittany Simonti flashbacks
Very "manly" to harsh on a kid… seriously. SMH
Interesting that your brother had to submit an Elliot Smith question for the Q&A instead of just texting you about it. The tricks of the biz.
Hey Sean, thoughts on Morphine? So edgy, to ask a guitarist about a band with no guitarist 😀
Elliott Smith is my favorite artist of all time. im stoaked!
As a bass player: Hey!
As not a Zeppelin fan: It's cool.
Why do I think your brother knows just a little too much about the mating rituals of the llama?
Thanks for answering my question! Here’s another for my insatiable answer appetite: What are your thoughts on doubling up distortion pedals to get richer tones?
Wins above replacement applied to Zeppelin! That's the genius that keeps me coming back to this channel.
can you show us how to play needle in the hay? and maybe southern belle. that's the best elliot smith album IMHO.
I could have done without Plant with those silly undersized girly vests he used to wear and that poser stance he always had. Yep I would miss Plant for about 15 minutes.
Said I'd report back on the Samantha Fish show. Great show, quaint venue the Old Rock House in St. Louis, stood about 10 foot from the stage/right (so I could watch her fretting hand of course) and that got to be a few decibels too much by the end but overall really impressed with her vocals and of course soloing. I would recommend to anyone. Peace
Big Elliott fan here. Ill be looking forward to the videos 🙂
There's a load of good songs about birds, though, Sean!
Blackbird
Freebird
anything by The Eagles
anything by The Byrds
I'm bored, someone else take this over now…
God damn that idiot vernon pissed me off
THAT TRUTHER IS BULLSHIT FUCK THEM HALF SAXON BITCHES, we fought till we were actually free, Scots voted to remain England's bitch…all jokes aside our music is quite distinct from Scotland and if anything stuff like hornpipes actually came from england (small e always)
Salty blues voice is evolving into Eric cartman ???
No John Paul Jones, huh? Well, so much for the sweet recorder solo at the beginning of Stairway…
Same voice lol
I want to see my name in one of your videos one day Sean! As always bro, you have a Like and a Comment from me. Keep it up man!
I can't wait for Elliot Smith week to start.
Are you gonna cover Say Yes ? say yes !
already diggin elliot smith week!
As a bass player, you KNOW I've got to comment! Really? ….. Really? …… Oh, Really? ….. Really?
The drummer's got to be the first one to go!!! Gotta be!!!
But, I get what you're sayin' 😉 lol I'M certainly replaceable. But, you replace John Entwistle or Chris Squire…you have a completely different band there.
😉
Prog or punk?
Always like the Q & A. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed the Listening Homework.
WAR for bands is genius. I don't know how to apply it yet but I love the concept… ahead of its time.
Daniels and Daniels on Safari with a Strat?
Question: Some of my friends hear a song and straight up say the key of a song without even mapping it out on to any instrument like keyboard or a guitar. They say that you'll eventually feel it some day. I've been playing for a year now and i can't even recognise a C major chord if someone strums on a guitar. So do you personally have such perception in recognising key and chords of a song or use theory, instruments and chord charts to get it?
Hey Sean, I love playing my guitar but am not very good at it. SO MANY great players on YouTube that my ego suffers sometimes. Would watch lessor players than myself, but they all suck even more than I do. What to do?
If I was a llama I'd never spit at any of those Irish posers, the gall to steal all that music from the Scots. You do however have to admire the tenacity of at least trying to get something from the spuds and peat. On a side note you wouldn't get all of the Zep songs without JP Jones BECAUSE….. he came up with the Black Dog riff. By the way is that in 4/4 time? Cause it always felt like a different time signature
Does your brother play guitar or any other instrument?
elliott smith is awesome
Hey Sean, Popped up with another question. Can u explain about Chord Quality. I mean the very idea behind altered chords are altering notes(5th, 9th, 11th, 13th) without changing the chord quality. Whereas altering the 3rd will affect the chord quality. What is this chord quality?? How to find out whether its changing or not??
I'm sorry I couldn't stop laughing at the salty Scot comment. I think he needs to lay off the cough syrup. Lmao
(Salty Blues Voice)
"I was one second into this video and realized, even though I'm a subscriber, I thought I'd watch the last second of the video just to give you my honest opinion and summarize it all to fit my needs and make you feel stupid." (There's no summary by the way.)
That was a joke, Sean
this is hands down one of the all time greatest question vids haha
Hey..and btw there's a new student in my guitar class who happens to be a pediatrician..my teacher has found me worthy of giving her beginner lessons..i'm like seriously?you want me to teach..wow!!
What week starts on Thursday? 😀
That Irish music conspiracy comment was gold
