We sincerely thank 351 Studio for the production of the “Like a Tree” lyric music video.
“Like a Tree” is the title track off the new album of Gospel Blues Singer/Songwriter, Kimberlee M. Leber. The song lovingly shares Kimberlee’s life story intertwined with her husbands’ – how they met in church and were married, how they have grown together over the years in Christ throughout the different seasons of life, and most recently celebrated their 20th Wedding Anniversary, continuing to bear good fruit, especially with the birth of this new album, their CD baby, “Like a Tree”. The song captures the essence of Jeremiah 17:7-8, which describes a Christian being like a tree that trusts in the Lord, thereby growing constantly and always producing good fruit for the Kingdom of God.

I was born in November 1968
It was the day before Thanksgiving
Just down the street from Ashbury and Haight
My mother had me for fifty dollars
At the University
All the interns watched intently
While the doctors delivered me
He was born in September 1970
The third child in his family
His father read him the Bible
Ever since he was a baby
Separately we were growing like a tree
With each passing season and year
Until we turned eighteen
To discover where our lives would lead
Oh, yea yea
He was ushering in a church
He opened the door for me
And I knew right then in my spirit
He was gonna marry me
Yes, indeed
Yes, indeed
Ooh, indeed
Together we were growing like a tree
With each passing season and year
And I sang “Grow Old with Me”
As we had a perfect wedding
Oh, yes we did
Yes, we did
We have followed the dreams in our hearts
Even fell down a time or two
But, with the Lord deep down in our spirits
We’ve always gotten up again renewed
Oh, it’s true
Yes, it’s true
Oh, it’s true
Together we have grown like a tree
With each passing season and year
Now it’s our twentieth anniversary
And we’re gonna have a baby
Oh, yea yea yea
Yes, we will
Yes, indeed
We’re growing, like a tree
Fruit bearing tree
You and me
Yes, indeed
Good fruit indeed
Mmmm

Our gift to you during these challenging times! ?? ? ?
I am liking your stuff. Looking for Christian Blues by a female and found your music. I am working with a 6th grader who loves to sing. We got her up in front of church in May for the end of year program. She did great. Next week she does a four song set as the 5th band in an all day festival. I play in one of them. Anyway, I want to expose her to the blues side a little. Then my harmonica's will even be a better compliment. Thanks for doing what you do.
Beautiful love song! I love it!
Awesome song,Kimberly
Awesome guys
This song is a gift from my heart to my husband's heart for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. It tells our story from birth to adulthood, separately growing up in Northern California, using a tree as a metaphor for each of our lives. Eventually meeting in church, and later marrying, our trees came together and were united. There are many wonderful Scriptures in the Bible, referencing a person bearing good fruit, as a result of abiding in Christ. As followers of Christ, we walk with Him daily, reading His Word out loud in prayer over our lives. This enables us to renew our minds to think like Him, which helps us to speak in alignment with Him, spreading good seed in our lives and in the lives of others, which ultimately bears good fruit. To be "like a tree" is the essence of a fruitful life here on Earth. And to God be the glory!
