I’ve setup a small ‘studio’ and I don’t even have to get out of bed! This setup is perfect for home studio music producers that have minimal space but want to produce a lot of music.

  1. I'm new to the scene and i just want to appreciate you for sharing what DAW stands for ? thank you for the video!

  2. Condenser mics are great in a treated room, like a studio. However, in a bedroom like yours that is untreated and full of sound reflections it would be best to use a good dynamic mic. They do a wonderful job of being selective, picking up sounds that are very close to the element, rejecting sounds further away. Also there are plenty of dynamic mics these days that are very similar to condensers. The Heil PR40, for example.

  3. 1. Pc
    2. Audio Interface
    3. Microphone
    4. Midi

There's nothing in terms on sound that you cant do without a midi controller, also condenser microphone aren't maybe the best for this beginner focus, cause those mics are more sensitive to the room reverb, i thing some dynamic mic like the SM58 would be better.

  4. Wow! That song is so good! Is it posted anywhere or only in this video? I keep coming back to the video to play it on repeat!
I'm a singer songwriter and still in the GarageBand stage. I would love to branch out soon to learn more complex daws like Logic or Pro Tools. Your videos have helped me a lot, so thanks!!! ?

  5. Ok but what about….. latency? When recording a track and trying to add tracks on top of it, does your tracks all sync up in real time when your trying to make a beat or do you have to go back and manually sync tracks together?

  6. I go back to nearly the start in computing, the Lyons Leo. My surname's Main – a bad joke at the very start of compiler design made a huge amount of sense, so it's quite well known to coders now. That's fine, our work was what you'd now call opensource, we were building an industry. That makes Apple's closed environment unfriendly (I also have huge brainpower, it's like an intellectual corset, particularly when I'm using my imagination. No, you can't do that, because we say so). Windows, on the other hand, has too many interruptions.
I was also coached by Sir Geraint Evans lady wife, so I'm a fairish vocalist, one of Eric Whitacre's 8000. That informs me on latency. Therefore, I'm looking to cut DAWS out of the loop, so I need a dedicated soundsource. Full GT MIDI spec, with added soundfonts of my choice – OK, that has computer input, life's not perfect. The thing is, the best seem to be way out of date, a decade or more. Or am I wrong?

  7. hi your video really helped me out alot i make copyright free music for streamers on my youtube channel and would love to introduce my own voice. but tbh i cant sing all that well and would love to know what plug in you used for the auto tune please. many thanks

  8. I just bought a focusrite scarlett 2i2 studio bundle with an interface, mic, and headphones, and it was cheaper then buying all the stuff individually. I would definitely recommend to beginners like myself. You know everything is gonna work together flawlessly, and it also came with ableton lite to get you started. The only thing else you will have to buy is a mic stand and a pop filter. The adapter for the mic is a certain size so look out for that when you buy a mic stand, I had to take the first mic stand back because it wasn't the right size. Also don't forget to turn on the 48v on your interface that you may get, gotta have that on for the mic to work. Side note I think fl studio is much easier to work with for beginners, but ableton is good too.

  9. Thanks. This was a great video which did help a lot. My goal is to have a bedroom studio and this is just going to be a hobby for me. My only dedicated audience will be myself. So, I am assuming that minimalist is more acceptable.

  10. Hi, if you use an audio interface does the mpk mini have to go through it are they both separate in the pc? if it needs to go through the interface do i need a usb host?
thanks for your input and great videos
