  1. Mariah really!?? How about Whitney, seriously!??!! Who's list is this anyway? There are a lot more deserving artists today then your list of favorite!!! Come on!! So sad not to give at least a few nof those artists recognition!

  2. I think the title for this should be Top Selling Black Artists in Every Decade. My definition of musician is someone who can create, write, and play music. As great as Michael Jackson was, and he was great. Legendary as a matter of fact, but he needed people to play and create the majority of the music he did. When you say musician, I think Prince, who wrote, created, produced and played his music. To me that's a musician IMHO.

  3. My fellow Whites, stfu and just watch the video. We would not be where we are musically today without contributions from Black musicians. (Like name the last time you listened to a whole Mozart concerto or Vivaldi's Four Seasons? Bet you can't) Anyway, they shaped our music. I know it, and you know it. Don't get your sheets in a wad just because the video has the word "Black" in the title, and keep your crosses out of my yard.

  4. African-american entertainers have been prominent and influential going all the way back to the days of minstrel shows and speakeasys, whether you know it or like it or not. They created the blues and were early pioneers in rock and roll. You wouldn't have Led Zeppelin or Lynyrd Skynard without them. If you can't tolerate that don't listen to them anymore. And don't use phrases like "what's up" or give people a high five.
