  1. One area of growth in the 10 weeks of your songwriting group has been the confidence to make quick decisions on letting go of lyrics that just don’t fit…even a few poetic gems.

I’ve done stand-up before and it’s the same. You gotta land the plane (preferably on the a runway) at some point….that’s where the ‘Title first’ helps A LOT! ???

  2. Just want to say I adore your channel and content! Wanted to make a suggestion that you do a video (or even series of a few videos) chronicling your writing process from start to finish, starting from an idea and taking it to finished song. I find that so helpful and encouraging.

  3. I am quite gifted in the ability to describe what I can actually perceive, but aphantasia prevents me from visualizing anything in my head, dreams or otherwise…
You must be the beautiful angel sent to answer my prayers… I have been struggling to understand the universe of song and musicality… I cannot play any of the instruments that have been given to me, but I am autistic and truly obsessed with the interactions of the sound spectrum. Thank you so much for the insight! May God bless you a thousand times over.
I have uploaded some of my own compositions to YouTube, but I am afraid, since I have no musical training or skill (I couldn't discern a note to save my life) – I cannot tell at what level my arrangements would be placed at upon a scale… If you could listen to ANY of them and give me your honest opinion, I will be forever in your gratitude. Perhaps your answer will let me know if I need to try to progress to the stage of actually mixing vocals with the accompaniment tracks or not???
