Welcome to my guest series, where in each episode features music majors, teachers, professionals or people of other professions watching/reviewing kpop, usually for the first time!
However, this special episode features kpop songwriter Andreas Oberg! He’s a Swediesh jazz guitarist who graduated from the Royal College of Music, toured the world playing guitar, and now composes J-Pop and K-Pop!
While at KCON LA, Andreas agreed to do an interview and small break down of some of his songs for my channel.

I remember repeating his live performance of Billies Bounce on youtube during my jazz school days, crazy bebop chops. It's amazing how he branched out to this untapped giant, foreign (for him) market as a highly trained and respected jazz musician!
I wish Andreas will write song for GWSN in the future.
'Retro' is such a good song with a summer-like vibe. It's one of my favourites from TSOL triology. Thank you Mr. Oberg and I hope you work for a Rn'B song with SHINee in the future!
never knew he was doing K pop and writing in the genre till now ..hes such a killer jazz guitarist
What a master of music.. I need more of this content in my life
AWESOME VIDEO1
interesting mall setting with the background noises :PP
Love seeing Andreas’s process, excellent interview.
This series is amazing. I'm loving the way it presents the technical aspects of the creative process. So awesome.
I always said windy day reminded me of abba?
3:30 7:36 12:41
most of them were my favorites already
Charli Taft and Obi Klein next please ! ?
Omg j just found it. This is great!
Retro <3!
And is it true that many groups get rejected songs from the foreign artists.
So is it norm to have foreign songwriters and recording engineers involved in all kpop projects???
Very interesting video, hope to have more access to the producer's video
As songwriter.. he got same amount of my respect like i respect the artists.
I think you are the only one who can create this contents in deeper sides. Nowhere can show how they make kpop in foreigner's side and what skills they used to make another emotions to give weird song texture, and Nowhere they can tell their feelings about Kpop and confess their slight wishes that they wanna be come true. It is mighty contents. Keep doing it, from freshman of Korean Song Writer.
hope he would like to talk about Obsessed in near future
What's with the FANTASTIC though? ?
There's no word to describe how a masterpiece Windy Day is.
DAMNN his guitar chops
F A N T A S T I C
😐
Love this videos, and Andreas!
Umu's fantastic it's too much. I think you should work a little more on the interview skills haha it was a little stiff and choppy at time but great work
Umu your interview questions are wholesome and lit
I think I hear Shinee in the background at 6:40. Like one of the high notes. It sound a bit like Love Like Oxygen.
the original title song for windy day is wishing well. Wow now I can't imagine how OMG will song wishiingg wellll~~~ (arabian beat drop) lol.
Fantastic part 2 of the interview!
If you stan SM groups you probably know this face. Its good to see the people behind the music. Wish Idols(red velvet) specifically) had studio sessions videos.
fantastic
Thank you for the quality content! Bless your channel 😀
Now that he mentioned Windy Day was an ABBA inspired song, I can almost hear it a bit like Honey Honey. That's awesome.
I'm looking forward your next project with SHINee
