Thanks guys! Y’all are my two FAVORITE male voices and writers out there and it’s inspiring to hear from both of you. Lots of food for thought! Love the idea of continuing to write and rewrite even after you’ve already “debuted” it. I had it happen on Easter this year where I really felt like the Lord gave me a song for that morning with those people and it just really didn’t have the effect I was imagining it would, but it’s encouraging to think about not giving up on it and exploring ways to continue writing it with improved ideas!
Good job may God bless you all
Thank you for stewarding faithfully.
Can anyone tell me what type of guitar Brian’s holding?? I just can’t tell but I love it’s sound.
"Living hope". Is like our anthem in our Church in England ???. We love it ?
My favourite singers and songwriters
Can someone explain to me what a song start is?
"God Is Dead" – Black Sabbath
now That is a good song.
what guitar was brian using?
“Jesus gave me this song in a dream… and you’re like, give it back.” ?? I’m dying! Love these real conversations.

I led worship for 11 years. It was a highlight of my life to be used by God in that capacity. I don't really sing or play my guitar anymore. I truly appreciate Phil Wickham and Brian Johnson for writing such awesome songs. I would love to be able to attend a song writing and worship leading conference with these 2 guys.
Phil, Do you or Brian ever write music for another person's Poem?
I love it when they both sing together.
Switch the number 45 around and there I am.
I wish I were 45 lol
Pure joy to see you guys find such joy in one another.
I think one thing the secular music industry has over Christian music industry is there’s no way for Christian song writers to submit their songs to artists or churches. Imagine how many other Phil Wickham’s Are out there waiting for their message to be heard and there’s no way to deliver that
I loved this! Thanks for sharing some of the stories and your process. I think the co-writing practice is a kingdom practice, and God reserves some of His best ideas for collaborative writing partnerships like what you are modeling. Thanks for sticking with it and letting us benefit from your joint creativity!
My guy Phil still rockin' the 2006 haircut.
Y'all need to sit in the same room more often than every decade guys!
nice
Very helpful! Thank you!
Thanks for filming this – really important for other songwriters to hear the real talk and the stories behind the lyrics!
What a rad conversation this was! Thank you for sharing ??
I was hoping for a songwriting conversation, but its a conversation about songwriting.. :/
i saw the name brian johnson and thought this was a conversation between Phil and the dude from AC/DC
Taylor is the worship leader guitar… Lol
Hey Phil, How was your audio setup for this session? were there any condensers behind the camera to pick up the guitars? They sound so good without any preamp plugged in!
Common projects are bought by more Christians than non Christians
Phil and Brian need to make a podcast together
This was super helpful for every creative mind listening. Thank you!!!
Would love to see how big the Bidens are compared to these two.
Being a worship leader for over 40 years of my life it's inspiring to hear the two of you and get a glimpse of how songs are born. We are blessed by the gifts from God you share with the body of Christ.
love your music and all Phil but bethel church is heresy and is on a path straight to hell , it saddens me to see you with them
As an upcoming and aspiring worshipping leader, I found this to be so enriching and enlightening. Praise be to God for the Grace He has placed upon your lives and how He is using you to encourage the Saints. Much love for you my brothers . Grace and Peace be with you always ???
i started writing a song i need help finishing it
"And on that day, we join the resurrection
We stand beside the heroes of the faith
With one voice, a thousand generations
Sing "Worthy is the lamb who was slain
"Forever He shall reign"
Just wanted to let you know that this song really touched and healed my heart. Few months ago, my mom recently went to be with the Lord after decades of battling with cancer. I truly believe she is one of those heroes of the faith, singing and dancing before the Lord… as she did in heaven. My mom is a praying, dancing warrior of God. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful song to us. To God all the glory!
Really great stuff guys! Appreciate seeing into the process ???
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing these memories and what your songwriting journey is like. Just beautiful.
It’s true never settle
This is so special. Thank you for your openness.
It is…..encouraging, insightful. Thank you truly. Thank you to God for bringing me to spending this time with you and Brian Johnson,…for the first time becoming introduced to Brian Johnson; would hear of him in space and time at home in San Juan Capistrano, Ca.
As a worship song writer (with dozens of songs listed on CCLI), it's nice to know that even the best worship songwriters of our generation labor over their writing process too.
Wonder if Brian did any grave soaking before this?
Bethel church has no biblical foundation – run run run!!!
I loved Phil Wickham's songs but the fact that he is so closely associated with Bethel and all other false churches more than the other good ones makes me now stop listening to his covers and other stuff.
Far from boring. Watching you two conversate about songs, songwriting and the process is amazing.
I have 2 daughters, 6 & 8, and Living Hope has been my eldest daughters favourite worship song since we first heard it in 2019.
I'm 36, I've only been going to church, attending Sunday services at Kings Church International UK and listening to worship music since December 2018 and it has transformed my life.
Finding Christ, going Church and worship music has saved me. ???????
Hallelujah
Amen
Thank you God!
