  1. This is some of the most inspirational songwriting advice I've come across online. As a poet, I'm so glad to see that you discussed rhyming schemes and syllable counters. Those are both invaluable assets in form poetry, as well. Thank you! ?

  2. Ive been in the middle of writting a song about how stressful 2020 n 2021 has been for so many people but i get so far at writting then i just kinda run out of words ? happens every time i write no matter what topic tbh

  3. I mean use a thesorus to find words that rhyme i mean i think that gies with out saying dont just scrap an idea at the start because somthing goes wrong keep trying to figure it out and i wouldnt try to to pin a melody or rythem to it necisarly right away because then yoou can get caught in the notes and what not else but sentances has natiral rythems and they sound better with those rythems in my opinion (dontbget me wrong i love to change a rythem by extenting some words and sounds and shorting others but intry to stick with the rythem in the way you say it) also recording just the process of the way you are saying the lyrics outloud while you write because you may like the sound of one but can't remember what that was

  4. Thank you for making this video!! I’m currently writing my first EP and I’ve written so many melodies that I think sound amazing and then it seems to be ruined when I add lyrics haha…but I think these tips will help me a lot!

  5. in my opinion is not about a thought process when I first started out I keep trying to perfect my lyrics but I realised that the more i try to make my lyrics be that less or worse that they become so don't worry about it just keep writing also don't imitate other people style other wise your head gets overloaded and u can't think straight

  6. do you think you could check out my original on my channel? its called “blueberry bush.” im still starting out with songwriting and id really love some semi-professional feedback/advice. these tips were super helpful by the way
