To me I compared Kendrick way too much to Eminem at first because I was waiting for the next big thing after em. But when you compare Kendrick to everyone else, he really is right up there with all the rap legends.
Edit: one of the first rappers I wasn’t trying so hard to be like but inspired me to be myself.

People who don't listen to Kendrick that deeply but are into rap/hip-hop don't seem to have basic comprehension skills. He is in a league of his own. Nobody writes like he does, nobody is as clever as he is, nobody touches issues like he does, nobody has that level of killer music and production to back his words like he does. He is art.
I love Eminem but he is dead wrong on this one.

When he said “of all time” we all felt that. Fact is one thing but hearing the legendary Slim himself say it? That’s just a different vibe. I always put them in the same category while speaking about them with anyone which is wild. Them 2, Joey BA$, Asap, Hopsin, Nas, Tech, Wayne, 50, Luda in his seriousness, the Rza. There’s many more but it’s THAT specific category of dudes that just wow you w the story & bring you into what they’re saying. It’s easy to throw some big words w the syllable effect going on but yk it’s real rap when they speaking ????
Em has always been very open about recognizing other people's greatness. It's a shame people don't give him his flowers, just because they don't like his later stuff. I'm not a big fan of it either, but you can't deny his impact on the game, nor his skill.

Time to say something controversial…imo Kendrick is better then em, don’t get me wrong I’ve loved em for as long as I can remember and always referred to him as the best but Then I did a deep dive into Kendrick’s music and he’s way better then em imo…both are still absolute goats though no matter your opinion
