Paul Simon On Songwriting.
It’s great that so many people have enjoyed this video. However if you want to listen to a Singer Songwriter who, in my opinion, is one of the best in the world search out the music of Martyn Joseph. Any chance to see him live….take it! Have a listen to one of Martyn’s new songs from his album “1960” due for release on 19th November 2021 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1RCi9OUNmI

What a cool story about how that song came about. I’m a long time fan of S&G
Just listened to his newer song 'dazzling blue', he,s 70 and sounds the same as he did when i was a kid…Thank God for Paul Simon.
I really hope he gave some writing credit to the guys who came up with the music.

The Devil incarnate. Shhhh. It’s a secret
True American icon. The best singer songwriter of our time. Hands down. I’ve gotten in many arguments about this. He wrote some of his most timeless songs within days of each other.
It’s all about observation. It’s amazing what pops in your head as you look around and do stuff.
Is it just me, or should Ben Platt play him in a biopic
Always loved Paul Simon and the Graceland album.. "She said baby take me dancing, but they ended up sleeping in a doorway"
0:30 you can clearly hear the influence it had on Kathy’s Song for example
Hi. What is the title of the song he is singing at the start???
Lori McKenna
1:23 – Paul's first song he ever wrote sounds nice, although he talks about it in underestimating tone.
Would be nice to know from what year this interview is. 1975? 1990? 2010?
Thank you
