Continuing along the lines of what we did last week with Collaboration #1, I struck out in a different direction here, heading more into a folk or country vein.
Balancing lines and phrases is important in songwriting and the progression I improvised here used just chords I, IV, and V in the key of G, along with a secondary dominant to close the first half on the dominant chord (D).
At about 4:00 in I played with melody lines so if you want to try your own stop there. Otherwise, take my melody and craft some lyrics. At the end I even offered a suggestion of an opening line that you could use, or not.
