Tim Johnson was one of the kindest, wittiest, and friendliest people, as well as one of the most talented songwriters, that we at MBC have ever had the chance to work with. Most importantly, Tim was our friend. We are incredibly saddened that Tim recently lost his two year battle with cancer.
As a small tribute to a man we are all grateful to have had the honor of knowing, we created a short video taken from a Songwriter Institute “Amateur versus Professional Series” shoot we did with Tim in 2011. Tim was a master of his craft and above all, the guy you always wanted to be sitting next to.
We were blessed by your talent and friendship, and we will always remember you as you are in this video.
(Thanks to Dave McKean and Songwriter Institute for allowing us to share this video.)

You are STILL one of the Great Ones Tim and always will be
Miss you so much Uncle Tim. It’s so nice I can still hear your voice.
I love I let her lie that was sung by Daryl Singletary… Such an amazing songwriter
Miss you buddy.
Tim and me became really good friends, first meeting while performing at the Key West Songwriter's Fest. He then came to NH to headline a festival I held. He recently had written"She Misses Him." This is a truly wonderful song that deeply touched many people dealing with the dreadful Alzheimer's disease. Sadly the song has continually been exploited by performers, most recently by Keith Urban. It was NOT written by Tim Rushlow (who had a top 5 Country hit with it) or Urban who recently covered it. You'd never know this by watching their videos, only if you read fine print on their CD's. It WAS written many years ago (along with several other hits) by my very good friend and truly gifted artist Tim Johnson, who sadly passed from brain cancer not long ago. They're taking cash to the bank thanks to Tim, the least they could do is stop misleading listeners and give credit where credit's do.
A4H had just begun when he came to NH and we tried to have the song benefit people dealing with the dreadful disease and get his original recording heard. We are now making a compilation album to benefit the Alzheimer's Association and are trying to get permission from the copyright owner to have his recording the featured song for the album. If anyone can help us do this please email me at: a4hpros@gmail.com.
I know Tim would be pleased it's finally happening. I miss him and also plan to cover his little known song "Silver Hair And Red Corvette" on my next album. RIP Tim, I listen to your first CD and think of you often my friend.
Love and miss you dear friend………….
