  4. One thing I want to add bro: I think the argument about who is the better artist is more complicated and Lupe might be selling himself a bit short. That is, if we're basing the best artist on metrics like sales and streaming, Kendrick is better. However, if we're talking pure artistry, Lupe is in a class of his own. No one in the game could produce a concept album like Tetsuo and Youth or Drogas Wave. Like you said, Lupe was ahead of his time, and that includes his concepts. Kendrick was influenced by Lupe in that regard. Kendrick using characters across multiple albums like an arc was definitely inspired by Lupe. Some of his ideas about money and other inanimate objects being personified as well. I can see hints of American Terrorist in the song Untitled 03 as well. What are thoughts? I love your channel bro. I followed the MYH narrative you put out and have been watching since. Great stuff!

  13. Lupe is bar none the best lyricist. I would argue the better song writer too. I find myself liking about half of Kendrick's stuff. And that half I really enjoy, but the other half not so much.

    Kendrick just has that machine behind him and Lu got blackballed.

I do feel like kendrick can tackle different lanes in rap its just how he goes about should be honest like this new leak prayer where he is speaking from the perspective of another writers art itself, also an activists speech. So himm being able to tap into different experiences is why i feel like kendrick is neck and neck with lupe on lyricism but lupe being a superior wordsmith kinda. But art wise kendrick can tackle any genre if he really wanted to

  16. Everyone has there own opinion, but I cannot say lupe is the top the lyricist of all time, and I love lupe. But without giving it much thought, of the top of my head, give me Nas, eminem, ghostface, kool g. rap, canibus to name a few.

Lupe is targeting him in a podcast, a podcast he made because he's taking a step back from music because he isn't as relevant, same with Joe Budden Lil Wayne, Norega and T.I.. Rap not going great? Podcast to stay in the arena. Relevant rappers don't podcast. Oh and Logic another rapper turned podcaster. Lupe is hurt.

  24. bruh..can you please breakdown lupe's songs because i want to learn about his songs apart from eminem but i know it wont fetch that manny views still for the sake of hip hop. please..i just want to appreciate other arts as well but i just can't out of eminem. i AM a huge stan but i want to listen more deep contents. something that should hit the heart with emotions. please dude
