Most musicians will tell you that in order to develop a great musical ear you just need to learn songs by ear. Is it really true?
In this video, I’m going to explain how and why only very few people are able to successfully develop their musical hearing skills through this process while the vast majority of people only get poor results and a lot of frustration. Lastly, I also explain how you should learn songs by ear (the right way). So, don’t miss it.

Hello There 🙂
I am very interested in the "Use Your Ear Method" since I discovered watching your introduction video and have done much research about interval or other traditional aural skills exercises last year until now. Many people say that they find it difficult to recognize notes intervallic and this hooks me up for planning to buy your course. I feel sad when I was browsing YouTube videos and forums regarding relative pitch training showing recognizing intervals through the association of famous tunes (e.g. Perfect 4th Bridal Chorus), ascending and descending intervals instead of internalizing the sensations of 7 notes of the scale, chord recognition based on muscle memory and more. I feel frustrated also when I was browsing YouTube videos watching and listening to some musicians claiming that relative pitch is better than perfect pitch but they didn't demonstrate to recognize notes and chords immediately or they didn't demonstrate to play songs on their instrument on the spot using the interval method. The only thing that shows that musicians flexing their aural recognition skills is found on those Perfect Pitch videos on YouTube.
Now I realized that you're right that interval and chord recognition exercises will not help you to recognize musical elements as the music flows and since Music is based on tempo, it is much harder to recognize these when the music is fast. The traditional ear training exercise that you mentioned helps you to memorize by repeating over and over or what we call muscle memory but it doesn't help you to internalize the musical elements for you to be able to recognize it fluently. Even though I did not experience interval ear training yet, I realized that all of what you say is common sense (e.g. even you know all of the intervals, can you apply them all in a real musical setting) and the fact that interval exercise teaches you, in the beginning, to recognize a minor third which is more difficult when you are a beginner at ear training because this interval has no context with it such as a key signature or a chord below it. This makes traditional ear training exercise is not beginner-friendly and messy approach.
All of what I've said in the first and second paragraphs is what makes me interested in your course. However, the course is expensive and sadly I cannot afford 480 Euros to buy this. From this, as an aspiring musician, I discovered my plateau in learning to play music by ear even the complex ones which is my dream. Before this course was established, I think the only people who can play by ear are the ones who have Perfect Pitch or people doing music or playing music for a long time since childhood until their aural skills were unlocked later on there life. For me, this is the ONE AND ONLY EAR TRAINING that teaches you the proper way not the messy way like the traditional ear training exercises.
Can I ask if you can do half of the course's original price or an installment plan (so that you can already use the course while doing an installment payment)?
I am not just asking this for myself but to give also people like me an opportunity who wants to learn through UseYourEarMethod but cannot afford it because it is expensive and help other musicians to unlock their musical hearing skills especially in this time pandemic crisis in which people are tight on their budget and the some of the country's economy are low and also need to help those aspiring musicians who want to learn from you but are tight on their budget unlock their musical hearing skills and start learning today while staying at home.
I am hoping for a Positive Feeback
That's All 🙂
Thank You
Keep Safe and God Bless You Always 🙂
@Use your ear is okay, who is starting in "Use Your Ear Method" to listen to songs like Ballade No. 1 in G Minor by Chopin, where we have a lot of highs and flats?
I'd love to see an example of an exercise you would recommend. I understand you don't want to give your course away for free, but giving some examples as proof of concept would make you seem more credible.
