Alicia is a great composer and a terrible lyricist. It's a pity because overall she's a good songwriter but most people don't understand how intricate her compositions are and only hear the banal lyrics so they assume she's not a good songwriter. And it's worse now that she's working with so many trendy producers who come with musical ideas of their own so she gets pushed more to the lyrics side where she's not as capable. I don't wanna see her legacy go down in flames like this.
