Metaphors are an incredibly powerful songwriting tool. Mastering these can enable you to take the most common, mundane things we’ve heard over and over, and say them in a way that has never been said before. In this video, we will discuss the importance of metaphors, explore some examples you’ve definitely heard before, and will introduce you to a simple but powerful songwriting exercise.   1. This randomly showed up in my recommended even though I've never dabbled in writing anything. Never too late to learn a new skill lol thanks for the advice but most my metaphors make no sense coz i was too focused on using all the words and not on a meaningful sentence. Got nonsense like "Shiny eyes that mutter shameful thoughts. Warm smile that can melt the coldest hearts. We locked eyes on a bustling night. I took a trip and let my heart take flight." lol nonsense.
