Unfortunately, the interviewer taks to much and puts himself in the centre of attention.
I don't get much "nuts and bolts" of songwriting from either interview. Taking on-line classes like Berklee's "Modern Musician" are much more helpful, IMHO.
I always love hearing Ronson talk shop. The host is annoying as fuck though.
Zane Lowe knows a lot about music and has years of experience, so I don't understand the comments here. Would you rather Kim Kardashian did it, or wait, Kylie Jenner? He's asking the right questions and knows how to dig deep. Ronson is great at what he does but he may not be good at dissecting it for people to understand.

Why does BBC use Zane? He’s such a douche canoe
Thanks to BBC for putting this film together and making it available online for free. This film's a great demonstration of one thing not to do as an interviewer / 1:1 communicator in general. Zane doesn't interrupt the entire time, but he does abruptly butt in at several key points without adjusting, apologizing or otherwise delivering value/demonstrating empathy.
I kept waiting for Zane Lowe to calm down and let Gary Barlow speak, but it wasn't to be. He's an annoying man.
