All That Jazz with Wayne Krantz: The Art of Songwriting?
Yeah, its Keith. But i wonder if Keith were digitally manipulated in the
album version?? Because the mid section of that tune is majorly choppy like
the ‘Grenwich Mean’ album – where Wayne seriously diced tunes up. Still
another great gem!
Wayne is so dead-pan, yet so genuine. 🙂
Tyler guitars cheap and Chinese? Look up Jim Tyler guitars, they are very
high-end, high quality instruments. Jim Tyler designed the new Line 6
JT”Jim Tyler” guitars!!
great quack tone
he closed the head of the guitar with black tape on purpose, i hate that

Howie 61. Off the album of the same name.
Excellent story! I have also found music playing in a noisy environment or
at a barely audible level to be an almost magical songwriting tool over the
years. It’s just kind of like “shake and bake” for those brain cells we’ve
dedicated to creating music. I highly recommend trying this for those
unfamiliar with the phenomenon. And in my experience, it doesn’t even
matter much what kind of music it is.
2:50 to 3:20 is fucking amazing. Making a chorus or verse or something
first. and then what he plays!!! I think i usually do tend to think of a
chorus or verse first and then if a bridge or soli or something section
comes later, hey, amazing! if it really gels with the real feel of all
verses or original chorus, AWESOME! however, my lyricism and harmonisicm
seem to suffer since i stopped doing drugs…..hmmm.. is Wayne sober? ive
seen him live and know he was at least drinking. Anyone!!?? thanks
This guy made me a better drummer. Yeah, you read that right.
this is not jazz
great job!!!!
Actually I’m gonna talk, you’re gonna listen
My mind is not capable of thinking “jazz”!
