Mr. Norman Brown – sending my love from Philly, PA!
We love you here!!!
Please come perform here soon!
East Coast, holla!!!!?
Your girl sounds beautiful! What a blessing…
@vampiroangelico The Sounds of Blackness started as an excellent theatre
group rooted in singing historical songs of black people since the days of
slavery. That’s how they come to name themselves. Their old record company
also felt the name would restrict their sales, and I’m sure it did, but
they wanted to be true to the music they sing even while having more
contemporary R&B songs on their cds. Maybe by singing with Norman, other
groups of music lovers are now familiar with their repertoire.
I understand what you’re saying, but I politely disagree with it. I
personally don’t find any reason to be proud of your race, since it is
something you have no control over; you were born with it. Pride, to me, is
being proud of something you have achieved, with your skills, with your
knowledge. I am white, but I’m not proud of “being white”. I am instead
proud of who I made myself to be. I’m proud of being a musician, a
guitarist, I am proud to be a business owner….my humble opinion. ๐
You are by far the best out there! Much Love fam keep doing what you do
One thing he can do is make songs that feel good… I like to hear the
guitar more than the singing but I understand he’s trying to reach out to
those who aren’t so musical… He’s the reason I ever picked up a guitar..
Make another after the storm CD!!! Lol
Very nice its cool to see
@BeatBay I feel the same EXACT way, especially being a guitarist
myself…That is the way smooth jazz is…(more like smooth pop)…gotta
sell records. Oh well
@vampiroangelico I agree too. Music is a universal language and shouldn’t
be a white thing or a black thing. Its something we all share. Much love to
all.
@7thgroove Thank you 7th groove! I am glad, that I am not the only one that
feels this way ๐ btw: do you know if this lp sold more copies like his old
lps? i’m a guitarist too, i think thats why we miss the smooth guitarlicks
so much ๐
Norman was referring to the Grammy Award-winning vocal and instrumental
ensemble group “Sounds of Blackness” and the fact that he collaborated with
that group on his album. There’s no racial issue here.
hmm definitely talent but this is kenny g puke material
@EcoFascist Ur a faggot!!!! Go jerk off to some heavy metal!!!
thanks for the uplifting message and sound this is a man with a very
positive outlook on life and we all could use that peace, rich
This dude is the coolest I’ve been a fan a long time
Its not trying to be restrictive its basically celebrating the proudness of
being black!
Norman you are loved!!!!
I’ve listened to plenty guitar playing…but when Norman plays he has that
special something that puts his playing in another league. I tell my wife
and daughters that if they want to know the love I have for them expressed
in music…just put on a Norman brown CD. Norman thank you for making the
sacrifice and putting in the hard-work to develop your talent, and
ultimately give us the gift of your music.
Dont i love how this guy plays….i would like to learn those deadly
leaks..i would love to meet this guy…
My mentor, brother and friend this is a great album that i have been
earnestly waiting for. So happy its finally out and we can hear from you
again. All the best. Keep doing what you like doing best. Great!
Thank you Norman for makin’ this sweet music! Bless
Norman is one positive person that inspires. It was a joy to get to meet
him on the BWB tour years ago in Kansas City. I can’t stop smiling when I
listen to his music. Thank You for posting. Look forward to seeing and
hearing him for years and years to come.
@srdjanNS87 And I’m white myself, and I love Norman’s music! ๐
I am a Norman Brown fan but I dont like this album.. i miss the jazz
feeling. too much rnb singing less guitar chops. the title track is just
awesome but in the end, i want an almost instrumental jazz album and not a
rnb pop album. ๐
@EcoFascist Right, call a grammy winning musician’s tunes horrible. Keep
lying to yourself, bro.
