  1. Amazing man awarded by another amazing man. I dont think anyone but
McCartney could have honored Wilson the way he deserved. Two musical Titans
of the times in mutual respect and admiration. Im so glad this happened
    like it did.

  2. Yay Brian!!! You deserve it and I wish you the best of luck with whatever
you do from here on out. I feel that you’re the greatest songwriter in the
world and I mean that from the bottom of my heart!

  3. In 1966, Paul was trying to describe to George Martin the sound he wanted
for the Sergeant Pepper album. Paul gave Martin a copy of Pet Sounds and
said “THIS is what I’m talking about”. George Martin listened to the album
several times and was very impressed. He then knew exactly what Paul
    wanted.

  4. You can’t really go there as they have very different contributions in
terms lof style and approach, harmonies and such. I dont think you’d ever
see the day Madonna would ever make small of Wilson and likewise, Wilson
every saying anything but appreciative remarks toward her. Comparisons in
the music industry can be fun to entertain, but in this case they are too
different to judge with any common frame of reference or standard.

  5. Such well deserved, high praise from one great composer to another. We are
so lucky to be living in these times, for talents (genius) like Wilson and
McCartney are not likely to pass this way again for centuries. IMHO.

  6. Holiday, one of the most uninspired, over played songs ever. Dress You Up
was filler they decided to release as a single after the surprise success
of the Like a Virgin album and the surprise that it was stil going strong
that far into 1985. I’ll give Madonna her props on a couple of ballads like
Crazy for You and Take a Bow, songs composed by others that she did sing
well. I also think Borderline is underated but when you say Beatles you
think artists when you say Madonna you think SEX
