  1. “It was the third of September”, of 2013, that I became debt-free (in only
six months! — I owed 4K+ in credit card debt just four years earlier).
Yes, this song has become a true icon for me; an inspiration indeed! o:-)?

This is arguably one of the best records Motown ever made, at least in my
opinion. You can listen to modern radio all day and never hear anything as
good. The production and vocals are stellar and the emotion is genuine. And
I especially like how they let the beat ride in the beginning…great music
for nearly two minutes before the first word was spoken. A real classic
    tune.

  4. I was just a kid listening to Motown & the R & B scene from S.F. Ca. & all
I remember was the incredible smoothness of it all…the GREAT vocal
quality from that small AM/FM radio, trying to sing along & having my Mom
teaching me to dance while watching Soul Train…she was an inner city kid
    too…wonderful memories

  5. @AllRequired My daughter was watching BigTime Rush last night and all their
music was remakes of Beatles tunes! They can’t even do their own music!

  6. I remember, old school for sure. nothing compares to the old school
….soul brutha you know what. With all this bling bling punk shit out
know…..We might have been crude, but we was real!!! Proud to live in the
day, and glad to die when it’s my time!!
