Appetizer

I called this album the appetizer because that is what it is… well that was what it was supposed to be. The plan was to make an E.P. of five songs to satisfy people s hunger, till my album came out next year. Well, I couldn t settle on which five to choose from so I did ten… a range of old and new songs that show my growth, my soul, and my love for honest music. Some may think I m crazy for doing this, but let me tell you; it is beautiful to own your own destiny and be able to do what you fe

I give this CD 4 stars because only a great CD should get 5 stars. There is no formula music here. This is REAL music, that expresses real thoughts by normal folks.

There is one great song on here that all the so called adult contemporary stations should be playing. This song is called THE MOON. All the other songs are good with HESITATION, SOFTEST LIPS and FOR DA LOVE OF DA GAME being very good in my opinion.

How times have changed. Once upon a time rap, gansta rap and hip hop were underground and ignored by mainstream. Now real music is underground and ignored by mainstream.

This is a very good CD – buy it if you like good music – real music!

As a teenager growing up in the nineties in the D.C. Area I can recall hearing Eric Roberson’s first single The Moon back in 1994 on local DC radio stations. Fourteen years later I discovered this talent again and I have to say he truly is in a class by himself. For one to appericate Mr.Roberson you have to see him live. I had the chance to see Mr. Roberson at the begining of the year and I was througly impressed, espically when he sang The Moon followed by a sernade of the classic Prince slow jam Adore. The songs you’ll find on this CD include the sensual Sofest Lips and the heartfelt Momma Told Me. All in Eric Roberson never had the chance to shine and in today’s music world he could easily hold his own against R.Kelly or anyone else in the R&B field today.

AFTER PURCHASING HIS LATEST CD(LEFT), I THOUGHT I WAS ON TOP OF THINGS. HOWEVER AFTER LISTENING TO THE APPETIZER,I REALIZED THAT I WAS WAY OFF.THIS ALBUM IS WARM,SENSUAL, AND SEXUAL; BUT IN A VERY CLASSY WAY. I PLAY THIS CD MORE THAN HIS LATEST. IT’S A SHAME AN ARTIST OF THIS CALIBER ISN’T GETTING MORE SPINS. BUY THIS CD AND YOU WILL BE LIBERATED.
