A great trumpeter and a totally classy man! – Bobby Greene?
He was one of the best people I ever knew, a generous, positive, person as
well as one of the best musicians. I’m grateful for all the times we heard
him play, and for all the great conversations we had. He had a wonderful,
long life…but it still hurts to know he’s gone. ?
It was such a pleasure having this kind and talented man share his gifts
with students at my school a number of years ago. The records he mentioned
in the interview I listened to in high school and finally had the chance to
have him autograph them for me almost forty years later! What a beautiful
and tasteful player and a real gentleman.
