Making Beats Using Music Production Software

The quality of a song is highly subjective. Making beats can be an extremely difficult task so choosing the right  music   production  software is already a huge step in the right direction. The right functions found in the right software enables one to produce a wide range of music to their own liking.

For some, how good a song is determined by the attention that is able to command from it’s audiences. In my opinion a song with a lots of deep musical composition and unique sounds generally are more popular. Remember that you can have the greatest PR team, the greatest look, none of that will take you as far as good music

 Music   production  software found in today’s market offer a variety of different musical instrument sounds and effects. The usual legal way to purchase software can be done through online or even at your favorite music store. I would almost always suggest giving different software a test drive and ask for opinions from those experienced

In my opinion there are a few things that you can consider when looking at  music   production  software. First of all is ease of use. This could include the interface and how effectively the software is ran under certain computer environments. At the end of the day a quicker workflow will speed up the creative purpose. Another thing to consider is the type of functions and effects it has. More often than not if it is an important function it will likely be advertised so be aware and look for specific things that you know you would need in your  production . All in all it is important to do your homework to find the right software for you, everyone has different needs, so don’t get confused with satisfying everyone else’s needs and neglecting yours.

After purchasing the necessary software and assuming you have the necessary hardwares in place it is time to start the creative process. I am a huge hip hop r&b fan so I am using them as a basis for discussion. For me usually I would start out with laying a drum beat. So as you work more often you’ll understand the type of drum sounds that go with each other, however when it comes to the drum pattern you can always switch it up, just make sure you are within the intended tempo. So after the drum pattern for me it is easier to visualize and with a little improvisation I can feel out how I want my song to turn out.

My usual song structures include drums, a bass line and a melody that include different instruments to give it some breadth. But of course like ANY music, there are no rules, you can go as far as your imagination takes you. So after the drum, I usually improvise with differ net sounds to see what kind of melody i like to have. Similar to the drums, as you create more, you’ll get a better feel as to which instruments go better with each other rather than clash. Once that is done, I usually like to listen to the unfinished the song to see if the overall feel is the one I was anticipating in the beginning. Going forward I like to add different instruments and extra percussion notes at points I feel are lacking some energy.
