As an online rock  songwriter  you have quick access to other online  songwriters  and also to new ideas that you may need for your rock music. Why is it a quick way to access other  songwriters ? By just a click of the mouse you can literally find forums and blogs of other rock musicians and exchange ideas with them.

My favorite method as an online rock  songwriter  is to come up of a bunch of music ideas. I’ll then develop some of the ideas into music and save them in one file. I will also save the undeveloped ideas into another category on my computer.

But in a typical online session, I’d usually come up with one or two ideas that are quite enough for a full song, then little, little ideas here and there, like musical nuggets and jot them on paper or record them onto my computer. These nuggets are unfinished choruses, lyrics or chord sequences that usually serve as good material for song composition.

Then it is time to categorize the nuggets into different file folders that come under the following names: Lyrics, Verses, Riffs and Chords, Choruses, Bridges and Other. I’d go on to zip these folders and upload them to my online rock  songwriter  website or other online storage websites where my co-writers can have access.

I’d send a quick email to my co-writers to download the music ideas I posted on the site. And the best part is the ideas that your co-writers can bring to your song. With this method I am able to complete songs much easily and earlier because several minds are put together in the writing process. And this is a great benefit to me as an online rock  songwriter .

Some online rock  songwriters  limit their co-writers to just one person. As you have seen, I try to keep several of them – as least 10 of them. The reason is that more minds equal a lot of great options for your music. You can save some of the unused ideas for some of your future rock music writing projects. Online songwriting truly is highly educative and a lot of fun. Why not go and try it?
