  1. Im currently writing something but I'm not sure if it's a rap or a song. But once I know what it is who can I talk to about getting someone to look at it and pay for it?

  2. Ever wondered why you can't get your material to the next level? Without marketing in place you won't go far. Let us at getliveviewsnow assist on getting you top results why you focus on the things you love to do.

  3. You are so full of bullshit, first question if you're such a great manager why aren't you still with Taylor Swift second question were you a DJ at one time third thing you're not impressing me with the pictures behind you

  4. publishing deal sounds like shit. They can keep your copyright and song screw that. If a movie think its great they will deal with you direct.

  5. Clicked on the link for music industry blueprint annd got a server error problem. I know how frustrating this can be from my experience of web management. In fact I went through it this year with site migration from one host to another. My aim is to get in depth knowledge on how to get a publishing deal from a large archive of music projects I've worked on for 10 years, none of which are out there in the public domain yet! Or a record deal would be great, but I know how hard it is to get one. I wouldnt know where to start, which is why I've found a good resource here to learn what to do!

  6. My boy friend has wrote over 5000 songs and has not never sold not one to anyone and is a great singer as well but we live In a very very small town where there is no music companies or out reach

  7. The music business has become so cunty today with streaming the days people bought records & cds is over i don't know how anyone makes money like they used to theres too many fingers in the pie & conglomerate investors now buying in treating artists as just products its pretty much a sad new low.
Id much rather being independent & doing it your own way being in control.

  8. This man is very smart, and is why if you are a songwriter you need to "make sure" that you read "everything" in detail. It's not always the case that you need to "give up" your rights to your music to the publisher "ONLY" if it is in your contract. You can give "permissions" to the publish to "submit" your songs to certain deals.. be it licensed music as in TV or radio commercials or even movie trailers or movie backgrounds.. or maybe albums. In regards direct payouts, that also determined by contract. In regards to "performance and mechanical royalties" that is also agreed to in a contract and there is the "publishers" share and the writers (you, the songwriter) share, that is managed normally by a professional rights organization (PRO). As a songwriter, you'll find a lot of people and companies out there that will offer you many deals.. just be very careful that you don't give up more than you should.

  9. hi rick I'm a songwriter and I live in London I can make a song every day and I beat box my rhythms to my songs however I'm not good at creating the songs using softwares like what a music producer uses but I want my music to be released what would be your advise.look forward to hearing from you !

  10. Signing into a Publishing deal is basically signing deep in to the rape esp with a Major Publisher. It's in your best interest to retain your copyrights and stay independent. Admin deals are taking over the industry while Songwriters flock from thier Co-Publishing deals to Admin deals such as Kobalt.

  11. Co writers??? I had a friend who wrote great songs, and nothing in his songs needed t o be changed, but guess what. The promoters wanted to change a few words so they could say they were co-writers, so they could claim money they never really worked for.
