I don't know how to make this a rap still…
Thank you. I have one additional thing to say which works for me and may work for others. I have a limited range and am not really a vocalist. After I write the music, I will write a piano track with single notes all within my range that fit the song. Then I edit it slightly as I try to fit lyrics to it. It always gives me a melody to the lyrics I have chosen. And of course you can edit lyrics and melody as you go to make it smoother.
