wow this was really helpful.. i was looking for something to create melodic rythmic tension, and so far this is the closest thing i could find… But can you explain how to solve a the tension of a rythmic pattern with a differente one? maybe using variations? or maybe the real question is how to make longer rythmic patterns (maybe 4 or more lines) without neccesarilly repeating the same patter in all the lines? where did you get this information?

I usually have no problem at all writing melodies, lyrics are what gets me. I can write comedic lyrics all day but when it comes to serious lyrics I start to have issues. I typically don't even know what I want to write about and then when I do figure out what I want to write about, I can't figure out how to put it into words.
Since I usually start with words this approach is very useful. I was able to change some words in a song I wrote to help it flow better. Thanks…just subscribed ?
