i'm writing a song right now and this! is so useful! thank you angel!
I like starting with a line or melody first, probably because I'm a singer first and foremost and struggle if I come up with chords first. As I build the lyrics and melody, I strum around until I find 2 or 3 chords that fit well. Everything sort of evolves together. I also type all my lyrics as I write them because it's a lot less messy to edit and my writing is actually garbage and illegible.
