BEYONCÉ wrote some /most songs on their album … she just recently wrote “shining “ everyone throws she changes a few words but she actually doesn’t ..: she brings writers she interested in too her . She prove that almost ALL THE TIME . And they write the songs together !! … she got songwriter award before and etc ..

  13. In the literary world, stealing material from 1 person and passing it off as your own is plagiarizing. Stealing material from several persons and passing it off as your own is research. That's said, I don't think doing either makes you an AUTHOR. I'd say Beyoncé is a pretty talented researcher.

Beyonce is a MUSICIAN. meaning she can partake in various aspects of the art form (including writing and producing). as a musician, we all have limitations &/or cannot fully express ourselves the way we would like to. the great thing about beyonce is she pushes the envelope and is willing to learn and evolve. that being said, in order to evolve, one has to be exposed to various bodies of a subject to comprehend it. that's why she is who she is. many of the greats didn't write their own music or also collaborated. many of todays artist don't even or barley partake in those aspects anyways. they just sing the song

  22. I love Beyonce as a peformer and she's probably one of the most talented artists today in that sense, but she's not a songwriter, period, no matter what this video says. I'll tell you how it works: you hire 5 people to write a song for you or you buy it from a catalog. You change one or two lines, or a few harmonies here and there, and then your credit AND ROYALTIES as a songwriter are included. But 95% of the song was made by one or more people. That's the way half pop singers work today including Beyonce, who is not a musician, but a vocalist and a performer. But just like a person down here is commenting, the reason to include yourself as a songwriter is not only ego, but money. If you don't do that, then 90% of the money will go to record labels and songwriters, and you will only make money out of your concerts (after you pay everyone else). That's the reason people like Beyonce always make sure they're credited as songwriters, go on tour almost every year, release special dvd and cd editions all the time, and look for sponsors. You can't have a career as a singer being just a singer, that's also a fact.

  25. Beyonce is talented however. She is an arranger not a songwriter or a lyricist. Her songs have meaning however. The problem is when you just sing a song you don't make any money. The money goes to the engineers,publishing, writers then maybe 89cent of every sold single or album goes to the artist so if they sold 5 million times that by 89cent that's what they just made. But if your a songwriter and singer your probably looking at $3 for each single or album rather than 89cent. So she lists herself as producer/writer/singer to earn more coin!

  30. This video is weird… The first half sounded like you were outing Beyonce for her lack of input in the creation of her songs but then go on to praise/defend her? For example IF "Give it to me mama" was her idea to add and that's all she really did then yes, she gets a credit but is it worthy? In the minds of most people like Linda Perry who is a proper songwriter, no/barely. It seems she's scraping by with the bare minimum input for a majority of these and other songs mentioned in this video.

  31. Honestly there's a live performance of irreplaceable in which she literally says that she has written the song, now isn't it weird how now all of sudden she just says that Ne-Yo wrote irreplaceable. Why is she even on the album credits if he's the one who has written it. 

  33. Rich Harrison said that "Crazy in love" was already finished and he sent it to Jay Z first then Beyonce got on it later. She added nothing to  it.  All she did was open her mouth and sing the words someone else wrote.  Tell me how did her name get on as a writer for songs already sung by other artists then? "Resentment", "Irreplaceable", "If I were a boy",   She added nothing to the orginal version of those songs.  Thanks for proving she is a bigger liar than I thought.    This is from a Beyonce fan who paid 2000.00 to go to her on the run tour.  I wish I could get my money back. You might want to re-edit your video because it's contradicting.

  34. Beyoncé's songs are written by about 5 people and when they're done she changes a word, or maybe two when she feels inspired, and she gets co-writing credits LMAO.
