  1. Pretty astute observation, that he uses a I V V I sequence repeatedly. ? And it works so well because V is the furthest you can go from I so the harmonic tension is maximal.

  2. McCartney actually did this ABBA structure to send out a coded message that an unknown vocal group from Sweden would be huge in the 70s. And they would write songs about Dancing Queens and bulls named Fernando. And remember, when you play A-B-B-A backwards, it's still A-B-B-A. Eerie, eh?

  3. Very interesting, one of the most popular songwriters of the past 50 years, used the same harmonic pattern in many songs. AC/DC joked that they kept making the same album over and over. If it ain’t broke, why fix it?
