my favorite songwriter is Daniel Johns.
In my opinion his vocal/lyrical range is extremely diverse and inspiring to me
the way he wrote songs like Pure Massacre and Acid Rain when he was twelve years old, and went on to write stuff like Ana's Song, Tuna In The Brine and even Straight Lines is so insane to me

Adam, I appreciate the Billie Joe Armstrong reference as he is one of my very favorite songwriters and I've often wondered how in the heck does he write so many songs. He currently has a band called The Longshot which released an album recently and this is in addition to all of his Green Day material.
