Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing great! Since doing live streams of me making music, I’ve had a few people say they really struggle with writing lyrics. So I thought I’d make a video of some techniques that I use for lyric writing!

Also, I’m going switch to doing a video every two weeks, rather than week, as I’m currently struggling to do one a week! Hopefully when I get my new Macbook I’ll be able to switch back to one a week 🙂

NEW? ?

Hi, I’m Beckie! I am an electronic musician, DJ & Twitch streamer. I’ve been streaming on Twitch since September 2017. I stream a lot of music content; DJing, electronic sets, singing, flute, songwriting & production & as well as games!

I make electronic music on Ableton Live & Logic Pro X, and use an Akai APC40 mkll & a Axiom 49 MIDI Keyboard to perform my songs live. I also play flute in ska/punk band Just Say Nay!

On my YouTube channel, you can find my own music, DJ sets, song covers I have made, audio tech tips & live performances from my Twitch. I also throw in the odd vlog!

I hope you enjoy my content, and if you do want to see more, then make sure to subscribe, follow my socials & check out my music! ?

5 Replies to “5 Tips for Writing Great Song Lyrics | How to Come Up with Lyric Ideas for Songwriting”

  1. Nice video, I’m going to learn to play keyboards but I like lyrics and I’d like to write lyrics regardless, I find that I have ideas but I can’t connect everything up I can either think of a chorus or a verse but not complete it,
I think I may be think because I’ve got a verse I must finish it there and then,
Do you have tips for this ?
Also how to use random lines that I think of or random verses that don’t really fit with anything else ?

    Thank you ??
