Songwriting tips from the legendary famous songwriter Neil Young. His career has spanned over five decades, producing songs any writer would be honored to call their own.
Neil Young has over come more than his fair share of adversaries in his eventful life time and has written a slew of hits including Harvest Moon, Keep on rocking in the free world, Like a hurricane and After the gold rush.
There is no other quite like him and in this video I break down his priceless, yet often quite cryptic, songwriting tips.
Tip one “Don’t chase the rabbit”. alone is enough to set any creative artist on a path for success, not only for songwriting but for life. Yes, that’s how valuable this advice is.

  1. 1:One don't chase the rabbit:If you r trying to catch a rabbit you don't wait right by the home then the rabbit come out of the hole ,he looks around ,you start talking to to it but you're not looking at it..he's free to come free to go & in that way if the song happebs,it happens ..If it doesn't happens it doesn't matter
2:Don't wait instead play the more you create, write & play the more u are to be inspired
3: focus on play not on practise :Play is the secret of unlocking your creativity & mastering your craft ..its easy to fall into the trap of wanting to be better by practising after all practice make perfect right but what if we look itself another way & give permission to yourself to play …if you are a great artist your so called periods of practise when you sit for hours & study your techniques won't work that effectively until it is a pleasure for you ..you HV to come to the point wh4 going to it again & again makes you dance
4: Learn to trust yourself:but how can we know the difference between trusting ourselves & just blindly accepting any old crack we come up with sure can be useful to be a little bit critical ,it can help us to realize & uninspired our dear or our current limitations but it can also just stifle your creativity so what do u do (listen to songs you love & identify what you love them & why they work so well as songs this will start to hone your instincts about what works & ask yourselve do i doubt what i am doing or ami i doubting because of what someone else said then check if that someone was even your intended audience
5:Being ready is easier then getting ready
6:Accepting your failure with open arms
7:Honour the inspiration: usually I sit down as I go until. I'm trying to think. As soon as I start thinking I quit. Then when I have an idea out of nowhere ,I start up again .Whe that idea stops I stop .I don't force it.
