can you touch on a loss for words and getting unstuck?
I don’t have all of my lyrics but the title is colors and it’s about seeing your real colors and don’t let anyone tell you what your colors are you have to figure them out yourself
Great pointers, thank you! ?
I so thoroughly enjoy how concise you are while still being fun to watch. I found you from reddit and am so excited to put some of your tips and tricks into action.
Glad you’re making this content! Thank you
I'm tired of doing covers and want to write original material, but I don't even know where to begin with finding my voice as a lyricist. I'm a pretty private and introverted person so the sort of introspective and personal writing style of most singer-songwriters (and teachers of songwriting) really doesn't come naturally…but I don't know what other direction I could go in. It definitely doesn't help that most songwriting tutorials seem to cater to folk, pop, or soft rock type stuff when I'm more into soul, funk, and jazz…
Anyway sorry for the long comment. I enjoy your content and always look forward to these vids pop up on my Reddit feed. Thanks for doing these.

How’s this?
“Lovely”
Here it is, a final breath of fresh air.
Before heading under water, again.
Fifty years will pass by before,
I ever get to taste this.
Lovely feeling again.
“I never want to go back down again.”
I said, as I shove my face back down into the sea.
Quick camera photoshoot, a dust pan in the desert.
A lovely sky grey, turning to an apple decay.
Light switching off, down, and out, scenery of green, blue to black.
A painting of red shredded to a great fray.
Smile in a youthless innocence.
Cry until you’re dry.
A melancholic sunset, the night under the day.
Short and sweet, like a lake in a forest.
The change from mind to paper.
From mind to paper.
It’s why the sun’s light is blinding.
An urge to smile when you know you can’t.
Quick camera photoshoot, a dust pan in the desert.
A lovely sky grey, turning to an apple decay. Light switching off, down, and out, scenery of green, blue to black.
A painting of red shredded to a great fray.
And I’m naked,
Naked.
In the bathroom stall.
And I’m waiting,
Waiting.
Waiting,
Waiting.
Yeah.
But it’s out of love for the sea, that I sing to the clouds.
It’s for the life of me that I cannot doubt for a second.
That this wasn’t meant to be.

You’re rarer than a rabbit, you are.
Season of sickness, lovely day.
Lovely day.
