YeS I try to tell beginning songwriters and producers this and it's a hard sell but people get it if a few different people let em know. The new kids coming up don't care about your awards or what you've done. However when it's told to them by their piers then it makes sense.

that is so true. in 60's you had less than 3 minutes – you did a great job. and I think you have to get along with the people you write for cuz your in the same boat,

This is the problem with most people in the music business. I hugely disagree with this. NOT every song needs to be a fukin hit, and start with a fuckin hook. There are many giant musicians and songs which would fail this STUPID test. You only wanna publish shitty commercial stuff, which is the shittiest part of music. Real music is about ART and not shitty stupid hooks and clichés. Well, I guess you don't know this so my comment is useless. I wish people would be more educated in the music business. Listen some REAL music mate, not just shitty radio music.
