In fact I was struggling a lot with nurturing the different facets of an singer songwriter, always feeling bad about not finding the time to cover everything. It felt so good to hear you say that’s it’s totally ok to work in seasons with different focuses. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

  2. Thanks for all tips. Sure you never know when ideas arrive and what triggers. Yes playing music on your instrument and on your DAW is way to trigger the ideas and sometime the trigger came from nowhere, when you are in the street … It is weird ?

  3. I learned all about theory so I could learn how to speak music, but it still doesn’t really make sense to me and I kept going back to writing. But I can sing and I really am drawn to music and want to write more songs. So today I decided to get a chord book, and play each chord, and come up with a word for each chord, so that if I knew enough words maybe I could start speaking music. And maybe if I could string enough words together, I could write a song.
