I personally don't use an instrument to write my songs, because one: I don't know how to play anything, the Lord just taught me music theory this year, after I had already written 10 songs with no instrument. I just feel like it limits your songwriting and you want a song that is going to sound good without music anyway. The beauty is in the melody. So people can sing to God whether they have an instrument nearby or just washing the dishes one day and humming a worship song acapella. My theory is if a song sounds good without music, it will sound AMAZING with music, just my opinion. Love your videos, Don! I'm learning so much.

  12. hahahahaha ive done that at night because I didn't want to wake up my kids, or for my husband to wake up and think im a nut job, hahaha very quietly record an idea on your phone so in the morning you won't loose it and can expand on it, haha so funny.
