  1. Easy for successful songwriters to tell you how to do it. Example: man/woman with a family of 6. Advise… start having sex. But the success and character of that family now depends on how they are raised.
    Bad analogy? hit me….

  2. I was stuck on a dirt road in a Chevy yruck a girl came to me and said im a country music song riter if i needed help. Why is there young girls writing songs she does not rite her songs they wrote them and its caught up to her

  3. Correction:,you won’t make it as a Trashville country writer if you don’t live in Nashville. Plenty of Alt country songwriters are from all over the US that have made a name for themselves outside of Nashville. Good ones…. not just what you hear on mainstream radio

  4. My father Forrest Parker is a world renowned steel guitar player, he’s played with all the greats! He says to write 100 songs then, and only then will you be ready to write ONE!! I’ve been fortunate to have the gift of putting lyrics to paper and putting a melody behind it! Always keep learning, growing and critiquing yourself

  5. I've seen how songs are written in Nashville. A bunch of guys usually sitting around debating about the tune of the lyrics, number systems, etc.. Me? I sit down with a Guitar and a pen and paper, and a song is written within 10 minutes or less. But, even though I can do this amazing talent, it will go unnoticed by all these record label guys.
